History
Once a remarkable class of warship, TrueLove (originally named Baracuda) was one of 400 boats built during WWII by the Ernst Burmester Shipyard. Under British control until 1947, this Gaff Ketch Motor Sailer served as a minesweeper and submarine hunter often equipped with various armaments such as depth chargers, cannons, machine guns, or minesweeping gear.
Functioning as a harbor patrol and service vessel from the close of the war until her retirement in 1990, TrueLove underwent a meticulous renovation after being purchased by Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) and TV presenter Zoe Ball in 2017 and since 2019 has been made available for private charter under the ownership and care of London based global fine arts operator House of the Nobleman.
Almost entirely rebuild using the finest craftsman and materials, Truelove now serves as a safe and stylish home away from home for vacationing friends and family or as the perfect sailing venue for small events.
With 60sqm of ample deck space for entertaining alongside tastefully finished interiors and added modern amenities, the boat comfortably accommodates up to twelve guests for day tours or eight overnight guests staying between for coz yen-suite sleeping cabins. The number of guests can vary for an intimate private or corporate special event.
An MCA Category 2 vessel, Truelove can also function as a racing mothership or as a tender for yachts with limited crew accommodation.
